Below is a selection of wedding photographs that we took over the summer at Cockington Church in Torbay, Devon. This was our first wedding at Cockington and we're hoping it's not the last!
The Church itself is set within the beautiful grounds of Cockington Court and has been estimated to have been standing since Saxon times (c1069). It's got a dark interior that helps to create a fantastic atmosphere inside the church that's like stepping back in time.
We were blessed with good enough weather for some casual and formal photographs outside in the stunning grounds and the very romantic Rose Garden. The highlight of the day for us was photographing the Bride and Groom on the horse and carriage heading off to the wedding reception at The Redcliffe Hotel in Paignton.
The Redcliffe Hotel has one of the best looking reception rooms we've seen and great access to the beach for those all important couple shots. The dry weather prevailed but we had some brilliant moody clouds that really dramatised the beach photographs and added something extra special.
Cockington Church has a fantastic atmosphere and feels like such an intimate venue. It is dakly lit which llows for moody and dramatic wedding photographs.
The Rose Garden outside Cockngton Court is the perfect photoshoot location for wedding photography. At the right time of the year the fallen rose petals create the impression of confetti and look stunning.
Paignton beach looks fantastic even when it's not the sunniest of days.
